Reading rights for people with both a Sight & Hearing Impairment (SHI) enabled with DAISY version 3 text books

Hi,
Is the Reading Rights Coalition aware that about 50 percent of people with a vision impairment have a hearing impairment as well,  and need to be able to spell and phoneticize words to have a reasonable ability to understand  what they are reading.  Consquently audio books are not sufficient for us who have a Sight and Hearing Impairment (SHI) but DAISY version 3 text books considerably improve our ability to read books. Is the Reading Rights Coalition working to improve the number and availability of books in DAISY version 3 text?
If you wish to view some abstracts of research done hear in Sydney Australia that indicates that 65 percent of people over the age of 55 years old who have a sight impairment also have a hearing impairment, go to the web site http://shi.org.au and click on the link ‘Vision, Hearing and Age’.
